Hey thanks for visiting my blog. Often times when I am preparing a sermon an idea comes to me that I want to unpack a little more. Hopefully, this blog will allow me the place to do that. Then again, maybe I’ll just talk about my kids. I’ll try to update it once a month..

What a spectacle John the Baptist must have been. He dressed like a freak and spoke like a prophet. He must have made quite an impact as the scriptures tell us that people came from all over to hear him.

In Matthew 11 verse 7 Jesus is asking them, “When you went out to see John the Baptist what were your expectations?”

It’s a great question and we touched on it last week. When you do anything in relation to the Kingdom of God, what are your expectations? When you go to church is it the same old thing? Worship music, boring sermon, back in the car and home to watch football.

What if God was trying to do something different? What if your expectations were completely blown away? These were religious people to whom Jesus was speaking.  Every week it was the same thing over and over until, one day, something radical happened.

Are you ready for something radical in your own life? The Kingdom of God can totally kill your expectations. Jesus gives us some hints this week that help us not miss it.
