Was at the gas station and saw a woman counting out pennies to make $5 for 1 gallon of gas. I gave the gas attendent $20 and asked her to put it on the womans gas tank. When she got the card she almost started crying. This is SO ADDICTIVE. I think this has now become something I plan to do from now on. God provides the funds and I find as I pray for the right person to bless he also provides the opportunities and they are so plain to see. God is Good I just hope we run out of cards to give and have to keep reordering them over and over!

I dropped off my car this morning for service and a problem to get looked at at the dealer. The shuttle took me to work and I was the only passenger. I felt the urge to give the driver a tip and as I reached into my purse I wrapped 2 $5's and a $10 around the community card and gave it to the driver saying: "Have a nice day and buy yourself some lunch." Hopefully that made his day. I really felt good afterwards.

The packages I received from several members of our church were such a blessing. They sent stuff not only to me but several soldiers. I was able to share the stuff and how wonderful our church is. That's what's so nice about our church, the love of God towards others. Can't wait to come home!

I would like to thank the kind woman who purchased my breakfast at McDonald's on Cabot Road at about 7:30 AM on Monday, July 9th. It was a total surprise to me! The cashier told me that the woman in the car in front of me had paid for my meal and she handed me your "loving our community" card.
I can't tell you how much this not so small act of kindness did to lift my spirits as I was on my way to try to deal with my Father's empty house. (He passed away recently).
I found myself smiling and humming to myself all day. I am usually polite to others, but I now go out of my way to help others and to be even kinder to strangers.
And, I am still telling all of my friends how much this made my day!
Thanks so much for encouraging me to perform small acts of kindness to friends, family, and strangers.

This is nothing new to us. We have loved our community long before the cards came out. One time I paid for the guys lunch behind me in the drive tru. I saw his happy smile in my back mirror, but never found out who it was. Another time at a gas station, filled up somebodies gastank who was stranded. Another time, paid for the text books of somebody who was struggling for a semester. Gave a new bag of dogfood to the neighbor who sued us - this was hard step of faith to take. I'm sure I will find another purpose for this card soon.

I was at Pollys eating alone and saw a woman who looked really sad. I asked the waitress to give me her bill and give her the card. The woman thanked every waitress and the manager before she left so that the giver would be thanked. I hope she checks out the website and visits our church. Total bill including mine was $20 when I left I had to get gas and bought a lotto scratcher for fun and won ....guess how much $20

My economics teacher has been really stressed lately, and I feel like the school has been really hard on her. Everyday she always has a cup of starbucks coffee on her desk, so I got her a $10 giftcard, and anonymously put it in her box in the office. She is honestly one of the most inspirational, and most caring teachers at my school. She has traveled the world, helped poverty stricken countries, and has always helped others before herself. I feel like she has been under appreciated, and thought she deserved at least a little thank you. Hopefully she likes it!

I was out to dinner with a friend at Red Robin where we were catching up on life and the changes that were coming up in the next year. We hit it off with our waitress so I felt comfortable telling her what we are doing at Living Spring. I gave her $20 to give to any of her tables. It was a good way to show my friend, the waitress, and the unknown table, that the love of God is active in Garden Grove.

After Sunday service, Pat & I went to Kaiser in GG to pick up a presciption. Ater we recieved our prescriptions, we gave the card & $20 to the clerk & asked him to give this to the next person in line, to pay for thier prescription. He looked at us puzzled and we repeated our request, he then took it from us. As we swiftly walked away, we heard him tell the next people in line, "I think this is for you...". We don't know if they used it for thier prescription, but nonetheless, we hope that in some small way, that the people recieving it, were blessed. Not only that, but we hope that the clerk at Kaiser in some way would be blessed too...
What an awesome idea this is...
And to also say how God has blessed me this week, I'll be going the the Woman of Faith event for free...especially in a time when I need it! Thank you God for every recognized and unrecognized blessing! What an AWESOME God we serve!

Last week I was pumping my gas and I saw a young man struggeling with his ATM card that the machine would not take. I went up to him and said here try mine it should work. I had noticed his car seemed to have all his belongings in it so I asssumed he could use some help. He said he could not believe someone would do that for him and I just said All I ask is that you return the favor to someone else some day and may God bless you. It was a great day that day all around.

I was out walking my dogs when I noticed that one of the houses I typically walk by was full of weeds. Normally that isn't the case so I thought why not do the weeding for them. So I started pulling the weeds in her front yard. When I finished, I put the Loving our Community card on her door. Man that made me feel great and I hope it was a blessing for them. I would have loved to see their faces!
